Key Responsibilities
- Execute the deployment and configuration of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers in both clinical and administrative environments.
- Facilitate software installations, ensuring all necessary applications and system settings are correctly applied.
- Configure hardware in alignment with the organization's standards and security protocols.
- Conduct basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and peripheral issues, collaborating with IT support to resolve more complex challenges.
- Undertake comprehensive end-to-end testing of devices as part of the Epic Technical Dress Rehearsal (TDR), validating their readiness for implementation.
- Test connectivity, application performance, and Epic workflows to ensure optimal functionality of deployed devices.
- Accurately document and report testing results, identifying and addressing any deficiencies.
- Maintain thorough records of deployed hardware and configurations, and contribute to post-deployment insights.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative personnel to schedule installations and testing, minimizing operational disruptions.
- Provide basic user training and guidance on utilizing deployed devices and systems.
- Proficient in deploying and configuring Windows-based systems and related peripherals.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT environments and workflows is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks with meticulous attention to detail.
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in IT hardware deployment, troubleshooting, or comparable roles.
- Preferred experience with Epic or other electronic health record (EHR) systems.
