- High School Diploma, or other such alternatives which the District may find appropriate/acceptable and equivalent to allow legal performance by responsibilities.
- Candidates must have achieved a qualifying score on the New York State Assessment exam of Teaching Assistant Skills and be eligible for or hold a Level I Teaching Assistant Certification. Candidates holding a valid New York State Continuing Teaching Assistant Certification or a valid New York State Teaching Certification are not required to take the New York State Assessment exam. - Minimum of one year experience working with children in either paid or volunteer positions.
