As a bartender at Fairport Pickleball Club, you will be responsible for preparing and servicing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, engaging with customers while maintaining a clean & welcoming environment.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Verify customers are of the legal age to purchase alcohol by checking IDs.
- Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wines & other drinks, according to recipes and customer preferences.
- Take food orders, prepare and serve food items to customers.
- Knowledgeable about all menu items and beverages served, their garnish, contents, and preparation methods.
- Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- Processing credit/debit payments, handling cash transactions and reconciling cash at the end of each shift. Ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons.
- Perform all opening and closing procedures when required.
- Set up and break down the facility for special events as needed.
- Offering prompt and courteous service to ensure guests have an enjoyable experience.
- Uphold a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling customer information.
- Attend all required staff meetings and training.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Available to work weekend night shifts.
- Proven experience working in food service and/or bartending.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to use Point of Sale software to place orders & collect payments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong critical thinking skills and resourcefulness in finding solutions independently.
- Comfortable working with all age groups, building positive relationships with members and co-workers.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, climb and lift up to 50 pounds.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
