Now hiring for a Full Time Central Supply Clerk!

This is a Monday through Friday position.

Essential Job Functions Include:

• Check assigned unit inventory for needed supplies and deliver, as needed, to the units.
• Verify central supply inventory with supervisor or primary nurse before delivery.
• Maintain utility rooms in each nursing area. Check for outdated supplies and notify Director of Nursing of shortages when necessary.
• Ensuring that proper equipment is available for patient care, such as wheelchairs, crutches, canes, and braces.
• Meet periodically with sales representatives and maintain current file of purchasing contracts.
• Attend purchasing group meetings for clinical supply information and updates. Also attend Fairport Rehab and Nursing monthly purchasing meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma.
• Purchasing and budgeting experience a must.
• Previous experience communicating with sales representatives and medical supply vendors a plus.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting desirable.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of medical record keeping beneficial.
• Responsible, self-motivated, and organized desirable.
• General computer knowledge.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply).
• Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with Residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, etc., under all conditions and circumstances.
