Essential Job Functions Include:

• Assessing the nursing needs of each Resident on an ongoing basis.
• Providing supervision, instruction, and leadership with Resident care responsibilities.
• Ensuring documentation is completed.
• Identifying and delegating tasks to be completed.
• Performing and documenting treatments.
• Evaluating/communicating effectiveness of treatments.
• Assisting in Resident/Family education as needed.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Household Nurse, Nurse Manager, or other leadership.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Current certification as a NYS Certified Nurse Aide required at the time of hire. Will consider newly certified.
• Prior experience in health care setting is preferred.
• Prior experience working with the elderly is preferred.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must be kind, patient, gentle and organized.
• Must be able to respond with flexibility to household needs.
• Must be available for Holidays and Weekends on a rotating schedule.
• Computer skills required.
• Be a team player and work cooperatively with all staff in the facility.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply.)
• Must be able to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with Residents, staff, visitors, volunteers, government agencies/personnel, etc. under all conditions and circumstances.
