Now Hiring a Full-Time Human Resource Specialist/Recruiter
Essential Job Functions Include:
- Must have HR and Healthcare experience*
- Reviewing and forwarding job applications/resumes to department Directors/Managers.
- Communicating with potential applicants via phone and email.
- Assisting with interviews and notifying department Directors/Managers about applicant eligibility and pay rates.
- Conducting reference, background, and exclusion checks for new hires.
- Assisting with the new employee sign-up process and ensuring HRIS system documentation is accurate.
- Ensuring compliance with verification requirements for new hires.
- Serving as a Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center Authorized Person for NYS DOH CHRC compliance.
- Updating job postings, handling internal transfer requests, and managing the employee ID badge system.
- Tracking certifications for LPNs, RNs, and CNAs and processing CNA re-certifications.
- Attending recruitment fairs and representing Fairport Rehab and Nursing Center at events.
- Maintaining confidentiality and upholding HR policies and procedures.
- Two (2) years of college; AA Degree in Business Administration preferred.
- Previous experience in Human Resources or healthcare setting is desirable.
- Ability to work independently with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
- Must be able to perform essential job functions (reasonable accommodation may apply).
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and guidelines, especially in healthcare.
- Must be flexible, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to respond to shifting priorities and urgent tasks.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
