Fairview Care Center is seeking a fun and compassionate individual to join our Nursing Department as a Charge Registered Nurse.

*This position is for 12 hour shifts*
We are currently hiring for:
PM/NOC: 6pm-6am (72 hours per two week pay period)
PM/NOC: 6pm-6am (24 hours per two week pay period) (No Weekends)

Job Purpose: Under limited supervision, performs a variety of paraprofessional nursing duties so that the physical and medical needs of the residents are met; performs related work as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Implements paraprofessional nursing measures according to nursing standards and facility policy by meeting the medication, oxygen, nutrition, elimination, activity, rest, comfort, hygiene, safety, psycho-social and spiritual needs of the residents.
· Coordinates resident care so that physician direction and home policies are followed and upheld, be leading and guiding nursing assistants engaged in attending the immediate needs of the residents.
· Writes and documents resident status and response so that resident data is provided for physicians, by charting resident condition, care administered, medications, and treatments given according to nursing standards and principles.
· Records pertinent information so that all shifts area aware of resident status by receiving and giving accurate shift reports concerning resident condition and care.
· Administers medication and therapeutic treatments prescribed by physicians by using safe and appropriate drug distribution system.
· Assumes responsibility for the facility in the absence of the Nursing Home Administrator and Director of Nursing.
Job Requirements: Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully and work harmoniously with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public with patience, tact, and enthusiasm.
Minimum Qualifications: Incumbent must possess current active licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Minnesota, and maintain continuing education credits as required for renewal of license. Must have a valid CPR. Must complete a MN Department of Human Services Criminal Background Check and be certified by the Department as employable as a Nursing Home Employee. Any offer of employment is conditional until receipt of the Background Study Clearance.
