Fairview Health Services is hiring a Computed Tomograhpy Technologist to join our CT department at our M Health Fairview Northland Hospital location in Princeton, MN.

The CT Technologist functions independently based on the boundaries of professional practice in performing all major work responsibilities. The Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team. The technologist is responsible for performing the responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, and regulatory agency requirements (ARRT).

Schedule: This is a .7FTE (56 hours per 2 week pay period) position. This shift pattern is primarily an evening/night 8 hour rotation without an assigned weekend shift.  It does have occassional day shifts, but the majority of the shifts are evenings and it includes an every Friday night shift, as our Baylor tech works the additional Saturday and Sunday night shifts.  Being a small facility our night CT tech also does general x-ray to meet our ER and Inpatient off hour needs.

Ensures patient data integrity and adheres to radiologic safety guidelines and diagnostic testing protocols/procedures

Accurately documents in compliance with regulatory agency requirements, completes computer functions, edits, scheduling, and billing status changes

Follows infection control guidelines

Serves as a resource for other healthcare team members

Responds appropriately to emergent situations

Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

Assesses the validity of the test results to determine if consistent with changing physiological conditions or if due to possible interfering substances

Acts as a resource for problem-solving resolution

Completed all require continuing education to uphold their imaging licensure

Participates as an active team member

Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives

Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position

Cleans and maintains room and supplies

Provides integrated services with customers and care partners to ensure high quality care.

Correctly operates equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly.

Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations

Required:

• Current Registration with American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT)
• Basic Life Support from American Red Cross or American Heart Association and current before date of hire

Preferred:

• 1 or years of experience in a related role
• Additional certifications in Imaging

Additional Requirements (must be obtained or completed within a period of time):

Understanding of current MN Dept of Health Regulations. Knowledge of quality control and safety standards. Strong interpersonal skills.
