M Health Fairview is seeking a Cook for Woodwinds Horspital located in Woodbury, MN! This position offers a guaranteed 64 hours per 2-week pay period. This position is benefit eligible and starts at a minimum of $20.01 an hr!
Summary: working and maintaining a clean area. This position is responsible for cooking, cleaning, and prepping for the assigned area. The duties of this job can change with the change of business demands. Position will complete other duties and tasks as assigned by a manager or lead.
Cook position that has multiple roles. PM cook with lead responsibilites for four shifts. PM cook shifts includeds additional lead pay. Other shifts will vary from AM grill cook, AM retail cook and AM room service cook.

Responsibilities Job Description
Cooking for patients and cafeteria customers. Various cleaning duties, putting away deliveries, other tasks as assigned by manager.
- General Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook to order food that may require short preparation time.
• Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte station and may operate a grill
station.
• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and corporate
standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure high-quality food service is
provided.
• Read food orders or receive verbal instructions on food required by patron and
prepare and cook food according to instructions.
• Provide the highest quality of service to customers at all times.
• Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking,
tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food
items for consumption in eating establishments.
• Prepare foods under direct supervision or instruction by operating a variety of
kitchen equipment to measure and mix ingredients, washing, peeling, cutting and
shredding fruits and vegetables, and trimming and cutting meat, poultry, or fish
for culinary use.
• Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment and follow all company and client
regulatory rules and procedures.
• Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training.
• Comply with all company HACCP policies and procedures.
• Participate in regular safety meetings, safety trainings, and hazard assessments.
• Attend training programs both classroom and virtual as designated.
• Receive inventory, move, and list food items and supplies and prepare meals for
customers requiring special diets.
• Produce some batch goods using basic cooking techniques.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications/Desired Skills
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn
Minimum 1 year cooking experience in restaurants or other food service establishment. Supervisory experience prefered. Ability to read and write english.
