Fairview Health Services is hiring a Radiologic Technologist (Diagnostic Imaging Technologist) to join our Radiology department at our M Health Fairview Masonic Children’s Hospital location in Minneapolis, MN. 

This position is eligible for up to a $10,000. new hire Sign-on Bonus!

The Radiologic Technologist provides services to patients and physicians through the creation of high-quality diagnostic imaging, provides quality age-appropriate patient care according to established standards of practice, and works collaboratively with all members of the health care team.

Schedule: This position will be working 1.0 FTE (80 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the night shift. This position will also work an as needed weekend rotation.

• Night Shift: Monday through Friday - 11:00pm to 7:00am

Maintaining patient care.

• • Performs examinations
  • Identifies relevant data from images accurately
  • Communicates pertinent data clearly to the appropriate health care professional

  • Verify patient identification and documentation
  • Connect with and educate patient regarding pertinent information during all aspects of exam
  • Achieves quality diagnostic images through correct patient positioning and use of technical factors according to protocol

Ensuring patient data integrity.

• • Accurately completes computer functions; edits, scheduling, billing, status changes and image transfers in a timely manner
  • Accurate image marking and digital image manipulation and archiving

• • Orients and mentors new employees and students
  • Participates in department/facility process/quality improvement initiatives
  • Responsible for personal and professional development to ensure current knowledge required for position

Correctly operating equipment according to accepted standards and guidelines

• • • Identifies and responds to equipment problems to ensure equipment is working properly
    • Maintains a high level of competency
    • Accepts new technology as it’s introduced into the facility
    • Participates in Quality Assurance testing as required by regulatory agencies and/or manufacturer recommendations

Demonstrating the ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Required Qualifications:

• License/Certification/Registration
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (before date of hire) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience
• 1 year of experience as a technologist
• Experience working with pediatric patients
