Overview
M Health Fairview, Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury is now hiring! Do you want to be a part of our Emergency Department team working with providers who are community change-agents, and customer advocates that help craft the future of M Health Fairview—and a new era of health care? As Emergency Department Technicians, we participate in providing a health care experience that empowers our customers and their families to live life better. The Emergency Department Technician (EDT) is responsible for assisting the professional nurse in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and / or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and re-ordering and stocking supplies. The EDT may or may not be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the professional nurse.
Shift : 0.6 FTE, 48 hours per two weeks in 12 hour shifts, night shift (7PM - 7 : 30AM), every third weekend rotation.
Responsibilities Job Description
We work closely with RN's and Dr's to ensure the best care for our patients.
Provides emergency care to patients in the emergency room by monitoring the patient's vital signs
Assists with patient care as directed by RN may include but not limited to point of care testing, IV-line setup, discontinuation of IV, enema, suture removal, restraint application, catherization, 12 lead EKG
Transports patients by wheelchair and cart
Assists doctors and nurses during medical procedures and / or collecting specimens by following proper technique
Support of the Emergency Department such as ordering supplies and maintaining equipment
Provides for patient safety and informs RN of patient observations
Qualifications
Required
License / Certification / Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required upon hire and must be maintained throughout employment. Ontrack participants must be able to ontain Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
And one or more of the following
Preferred
Experience
Previous Emergency Room experience of 1 or more year as an Emergency Room Scribe, paramedic, ERT, EMT, EDT or ED EMS
Current CNA or NST experience of 1 or more year
License / Certification / Registration

23.15 -$32.69 / Hourly

Compensation Disclaimer
The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual pay rate offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the pay range is not typical.
