What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Contract Analyst position at Fairview Health Services?
This position is responsible for the modeling of payer contracts within the Contract Management module within Epic. The analyst builds out the contract by translating the final negotiated contract into functional structure. This includes building and importing tables, creating extensions and rules, understanding complex payment methodology and has knowledge to build all methodologies. The analyst is also responsible for ensuring their modeling is completed in a timely manner and that they audit their contracts for accuracy and, with the support of senior analysts, for making sure the data is flowing appropriately into the Decision Support system. They are also responsible for participating in projects that require reimbursement or payer related information and for partnering with Revenue Management and Finance.

Responsibilities Job Description
- Build accurate and timely payer contracts, including but not limited to creating structure, tables, and extensions
- Audit and test-built contracts for accuracy
- Collaborate with Revenue Management on contract details and data needs
- Work with senior members of the team to understand complex payment methodology and related Epic functionality.
- Accountable for the reimbursement data within the Decision Support system and responsible for answering any questions posed by end users related to that data
- Partner with other areas of IT, Finance and Revenue Management to maintain up-to-date knowledge of critical changes that might impact reimbursement
- Work on projects as requested that will either impact reimbursement or require reimbursement analysis
- Responsible for any build or testing required for any upgrades to the contract modeling system by the deadline laid out by IT. This includes reviewing upgrade notes and assigning or completing any tasks or build testing
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Resolute Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts Management and Resolute Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts Administration certifications
Preferred Qualifications
· 3 years in health care finance role, with specific knowledge of payer contracts.
