Overview

The Learning Health System Program Coordinator role is responsible for contributing to services in support of projects with the Learning Health System program at Fairview. This role will facilitate research, data, technology solutions, and innovation within healthcare delivery. The Program Coordinator will coordinate processes and research studies in collaboration with the program manager for the Learning Health System, Fairview Research Administration, and project managers including coordinating various phases of studies (from protocol development through closeout). The Program Coordinator will typically coordinate processes of moderate risk/complexity. This position is a learned professional responsible for troubleshooting and resolving problems independently and with appropriate research teams and research sources available. The Program Coordinator will work with a range of teams and functions including researchers, clinicians, designers, research administration, and technical staff. This role is key in initiatives related to Learning Health Systems, including specifically Knowledge to Performance (K2P), Performance to Data (P2D) and Data to Knowledge (D2K) phases.

Responsibilities Job Description

  • Provides learning health system stakeholder and partners with guidance, information, and assistance in complying with system operations, policies, and processes related to research.
  • Collaborate with research partners on project and protocol development, communication and submission to the Institutional Review Board and Fairview Research Ancillary review.
  • Summarizes and synthesizes data to reflect program performance, including basic analysis.
  • Supports program operations through responsibility for planning and executing logistical needs for cross-functional meetings, including technology support, preparing correspondence, meeting materials, agendas, and minutes.
  • Support the learning health system program project intake process. Assist in project implementation, analysis, and project closeout.
  • Provides billing compliance guidance and oversight.
  • Conducts annual data access audit and assessment, with Learning Health System users, including tracking, review, and development of data management plans.
  • Utilization and management of databases, including clinical trial management and electronic medical record systems as applicable.
  • Tracks and assists in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local University and Clinical Partner regulations and requirements for research.
    • Develop policies, create company procedures for complying with new regulations or requirements
    • Manage implementation of policies and procedures
  • Establish best practices for compliant research
  • Provides support and acts as liaison between researchers, clinical teams, and technical teams including data technologies, data analytics, and clinical application teams.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in related field or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Three years coordination experience with exposure to clinical research or regulatory processes.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Exposure to and broad understanding of basic data analysis techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field, additional training or education in healthcare administration or research.
  • Three or more years of experience in clinical research experience in an academic setting
  • One year or more of regulatory experience.
  • Experience developing policies.
