M Health Fairview is looking for a Nursing Assistant at Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN! This position is 48 hours per two weeks on the Night shift, for 8 hour shifts, every other weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more. Check out the benefit link here :

The starting base rate of pay for the position is $21.47. Candidates with experience may be brought in at a higher rate of pay.

This 46-bed unit includes 18 telemetry bed and is known for its superb teamwork, learning environment, and sense of family and camaraderie. The patient population on the Med / Surg-Medical Unit consists of Geriatric, Respiratory, GI, and Detox patients. Responsibilities Job Description
Job Responsibilities :
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurse / caregiver in the delivery of patient care, transporting patient and / or equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and the reordering and stocking of supplies. The Nursing Assistant does not work autonomously but works under the direction of a professional nurse. The Nursing Assistant may be given a patient care assignment based on unit needs and the discretion of the manager / charge nurse.
Provides basic patient care by performing routine duties to include :
- Personal grooming, bathing, toileting, Feeding,
- Skin care needs (clean and sterile dressing changes), applying ointments / creams,
- Oral hygiene,
- Specimen collection / testing,
- Position / ambulating,
- Changing linens,
- Promptly answers call lights.
Assists the nurse in monitoring patient condition.
Assists with admissions, transfers, and discharge of patients.
Transports patients, equipment, specimen and supplies.
Cleans sets up, and maintains rooms and equipment.
Accurately documents tasks performed on appropriate form.
Performs other tasks as needed.
