Patient Escort

We at M Health Fairview are looking for a motivated and energetic individual to join our Patient Escort team at our University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.

About this position: 

• 0.6 FTE (48 hours)
• Day Shifts
  • Week 1
    •  
    • Monday         9:00a-5:30p
  • Week 2 
    • Monday         9:00a-5:30p
    • Thursday      10:00a-6:30p
    • Friday           10:00a-6:30p
    • Saturday       7:00a-3:30p
    • Sunday         7:00a-3:30p

• Training provided

Job duties include:

• Transporting patients to and from locations throughout the Riverside Campus to facilitate service and assure patient safety.
• Maintaining equipment and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery.
• Demonstrating appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards, and emergency preparedness.
• Working with patients, families, and all members of the medical team.
• Ensuring patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks.
• Providing outstanding customer service to patients, families, and all members of the medical team.

Required

Computer experience

Strong communication and customer services skills

Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross) 

Other Qualifications

Ability to stand and walk for entire shift

Ability to lift, transfer, and transport patients and equipment
