The Program Director for Digital Enablement plays a pivotal role in steering the strategic planning and execution of digital programs across our IT and Digital Organization. This key position is responsible for orchestrating the effective governance and comprehensive management of digital engagements, ensuring alignment with our overarching organizational goals. The role demands active collaboration with a variety of teams, including Digital Procurement, Enterprise Architecture, IT Service Management (ITSM), and other vital functions. Responsibilities Job Description
- Oversees the development and management of IT vendor performance frameworks, sets performance metrics and KPIs, and supports the design of continuous improvement processes for vendor contracts.
- Provides guidance for assessing the vendor ecosystem, supports the optimization of vendor relationships and spend, and advises on vendor rationalization strategies to enhance value.
- Facilitates the establishment of disciplines for managing software and cloud services, supports compliance with licensing terms, and oversees vendor contract management to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Guides the management of critical IT vendor relationships, supports the development of risk management strategies, and ensures alignment with business objectives while advising on risk mitigation.
- Develop and refine the organization’s Software Governance Framework in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Oversee the implementation of the Intake Request process, Software Owner Job Description, and Software Policy to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
- Coordinate with Vendor Management, Architecture, and IT Security to ensure all software complies with the established intake process and governance standards.
- Lead the Software Governance Maturity Project to establish a foundational framework for software management, including automation and improved tracking capabilities.
- Collaborate with finance and department heads to produce high-level cost estimates for software titles and assess associated risks.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring clear communication and effective project execution.
- Engage in upward communication to secure executive support and align departmental strategies with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Required Experience:
- 10 years of work experience with a minimum 5 years in Technology Project Management or similar experience.
- Proven experience in IT program management, particularly in software governance and asset management.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate diverse teams.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively presenting and discussing comple information in a way that is easily understood.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with ServiceNow or similar platforms for managing IT service processes.
- In-depth knowledge of software lifecycle management and governance.
Required Certification:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
Preferred Education:
- Advanced Degree
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on healthcare or similar healthcare advance degree is strongly preferred.
