RN Cath Lab (Day Shift!)

M Health Fairview is looking for a Cardiovascular RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at St. John’s Hospital in Maplewood, MN. This position is 80 hours per two weeks on the Day shift (8am - 4:30pm) with flexible start and end times, on call 1 day a week and 1 weekend a month (must live within 30 minutes from Hospital). • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards. 
• Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. 
• Utilizes nursing process by assessing, implementing and evaluating care given to assigned patients. 
• Communicates accurately and effectively with patient/family and healthcare members regarding plan of care, nursing interventions and patient information. 
• Coordinates care with physicians. Directs, coordinates and acts as a liaison for other health care personnel. 
• Manages and supervises other unit personnel as needed. 
• Assumes charge nurse responsibility as assigned. 
• RN Core Competencies - Assessment, Planning, Evaluation: Collects and analyses pertinent data and/or clinical findings. Incorporates clinical findings and scientific evidence in the development, coordination and implementation of an individualized plan of care to achieve desired outcomes. Evaluates progress towards goals and outcomes identifying opportunities for improvement and changes. 
• RN Core Competencies - Evidence Based Practice: Evaluates and/or assists in the evaluation of practice in relation to existing evidence identifying opportunities for the generation and use of research.

• Computer skills basic: Ability to use a computer and applications that are associated with performing basic work tasks (navigate in Windows, Outlook, etc). 
• Interpersonal Communication: Skilled in developing effective rapport with customers, co-workers, or families, actively listening to develop a positive connection. 

Required:

• Associates degree in Nursing
• Basic Life Support
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Registered Nurse with state of MN
• 1 year of ICU experience

Preferred:

• Cath lab/Cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Bachelors degree preferred
