RN - Emergency Medicine / WSP

Fairview Health Services is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department (ED) at our Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury, MN. 

Woodwinds Health Campus opened its 86-bed hospital in August 2000. Located on 30 acres of pristine wetlands in Woodbury, MN, it’s the only hospital in the southeast metro area. Schedule: This position is 64 hours every two weeks on the night shift (11pm-7:30am) with every weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday). This position is eligible for the $15.00 incentive/per hour.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for:

• Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;
• Developing an individualized nursing plan of care;
• Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care;
• Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes;
• Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes;
• Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate;
• Demonstrating the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes;
• Promoting a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and
• Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN licensure from MN Board of Nursing
• 1 years of current ER RN experience
• Will consider 6 months of Acute Care RN experience
• Will consider a new grad with ED experience as a (SNI, capstone, EDT, Paramedic, ect)
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from American Heart Association, by end of orientation
• TNCC certification within 12 months of hire
• PALS/ENPC certifications within 18 months of hire
• Associate degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
