The Senior Account Coordinator employs strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit management operations to manage the day-to-day operations of the account team and assigned client groups and advocate to ensuring customer objectives and goals are met. This may include an active role in customer business reviews and being a liaison with cross-functional teams and vendors.
The Senior Account Coordinator will have excellent project management, presentation, analytic and problem solving skills and can skillfully use interpersonal, customer service and collaboration skills to build relationships, drive client satisfaction and improve the client experience.
Responsibilities Job Description
Using strong knowledge of PBM industry to:
- Partner with the Account Manager to provide consultative services to clients regarding plan design and service improvement.
- Execute client implementation and on-going service needs by interfacing with clients and internal/external departments/vendors in order to meet customer requirements.
- Guide clients in implementation of benefit changes and process improvements.
- Manage client information covering topics such as benefit design, implementation specification, client member eligibility data etc.
Act as the primary operational contact for assigned client groups to ensure high level of service
Works collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure seamless care and high levels of customer service.
- Identifies, recommends and implements changes that will improve productivity, client experience and/or financial performance
- Escalate high priority or reoccurring issues to the appropriate Account Manager or Client Services Director to ensure resolution.
- Compile recovery plan that will be shared with the client to include, Issue, impact, next steps and process improvement.

Qualifications
Required
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in business, health care or related field or the equivalent related work experience.
Experience
Three years account management or client services experience in healthcare or related field
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products
Excellent interpersonal and written communication and presentation skills
Preferred
Experience
One year account management or client services in PBM
