Storekeeper

Responsible for performing activities related to receiving, distribution and replenishment of equipment of equipment/supplies/forms vial scanners.  Assist with maintaining inventory control levels and maintenance of product flow.  Performs a variety of clerical and related duties such as filing packing slips and other order slips. Responsible for metering, sorting and distribution of incoming and outgoing US Mail and Inter-Office Mail. Serves as postal operation subject matter expert for Fairview Lakes.

*Inventory and order supplies
   1. Order medical supplies for clinics and hospital areas using scanners or computer.
   2. Issue and deliver items requested/required by departments in a timely manner using FIFO principals.
   3. Monitor stock levels to assure par levels are maintained.
   4. Perform various storeroom activities such as stocking shelves, stock rotation, and cycle counts.

* Receiving and Distribution
   1. Receive and record all incoming packages shipped to Fairview Lakes using scanner or computer system.
   2. Report any discrepancies to Inventory Specialist.
   3. Distribute all packages to the correct location in a timely manner

• Focuses on customers.

   4. Interacts with departments to keep Fairview mail service locations current. Communicates by telephone or in person.

*Performs duties necessary for the delivery of incoming mail.
   • Sorts and sequences incoming mail by department or individual location. All daily incoming first-class mail and previous day’s interoffice mail to be sorted by department location before delivery on appointed mail rounds.
   • Delivers mail.
   • Communicates with customers to facilitate efficient, accurate delivery of mail.
   • Visually monitor incoming packages for organizational safety and compliance with appropriate governmental regulations.

*Performs duties necessary for processing outgoing mail.
   • Sorts, folds, inserts, meters, and posts outgoing mail.
   • Accurately records postage to originating department for monthly record keeping by supervisor.

*Sort, file, process, and route physician and medical reports to designated departments, medical offices, and individuals. Maintains address locations physicians, clinics, medical offices, and individuals.

*Maintains mailroom equipment and supplies.
   • Coordinates necessary maintenance on postal meters and inserting machines.
   • Arranges for upkeep and repairs.
   • Monitors postage meter.

*Knowledgeable of postage rules, regulations, and rates. Ensures that mailing rates meet required service levels. Recommends cost effective alternatives for various individual mailing.

* Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.

Education:
Minimum Education

Experience:
Minimum Experience

At least One year of experience in a health care Supply Chain environment, or equivalent experience

Preferred Experience

2-3 years Customer Service; knowledge of warehouse receiving/issuing procedures
