The Supervisor Revenue Cycle oversees one or more Revenue Cycle business units responsible for staff, daily operations, and performance outcomes. Provides daily leadership, oversight, guidance, and support to ensure the team meets daily work to achieve target objective. The role ensures the department's workflow, quality and performance meets the Revenue Cycle's goals. The Supervisor Revenue Cycle works with the Revenue Cycle Manager/Director to develop strategic plans, staff assignments, and goals to ensure operational efficiency. Acts as a subject matter expert, maintains system proficiency and works with cross-functional Revenue Cycle departments, customers, and support departments to maximize efficiency and wholistic experience and revenue potential. Strong, effective, and consistent oral and written communication is a vital requirement of the supervisor role. The Supervisor Revenue Cycle may assist with daily work as needed, lead initiatives, monitors vendor performance and support with other business functions as necessary.
Responsibilities Job Description
- Sets, oversees, adjusts, and ensures daily production of work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Demonstrates financial acumen regarding metrics and sets specific goals, standards, and objectives for intra-departmental processes collaboratively with leadership and other areas.
- Manages staff performance including but not limited to hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating and addressing performance, conducting professional development plans.
- Ensures that the actions of the team meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Practices continuous process improvement (PDCA).
- Creates and maintain tools, resources, and methodologies to support and maximize team efficiency.
- Ensures compliance with established laws, regulations, practices, and procedures for self and team.
- Promotes a positive culture of diversity, equity and inclusion and pathway for innovation to achieve top tier performance.
- Contributes to the process or enablement of collecting expected payment.
- Understands and Adheres to Revenue Cycle’s Escalation Policy.

Qualifications
Required
Education
- Associate degree or two years of experience within an applicable Revenue Cycle Department may substitute for associate degree.
Experience
- Two years of relevant experience. This experience must be in addition to two years of experience in lieu of associate degree requirement above.
- Proven performance and initiative demonstrated with job expectations.
Preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree
Experience
- Two years of healthcare experience.
- Previous experience in a leadership role.
Experience working with Electronic Medical Record applications.
