This position is based at one of our office locations in Minneapolis/Saint Paul but offers the flexibility of remote work for the majority of your time, with occasional travel to our various site locations based on business needs. Responsibilities Job Description
What You'll Do:
As our System DEI Program Manager, you will lead the charge in developing and executing our DEI strategy. You will collaborate across teams, consulting and influencing decision-making processes that span cross-cultural, multifaith, cross-ethnic, and cross-linguistic environments. Your expertise in cross-cultural communication and emerging DEI methodologies will guide our efforts in recognizing and dismantling biases, ensuring a workplace that empowers underrepresented communities and communities of color.
Key areas of Focus:
- Program Development & Execution
- Develop and execute programs to foster inclusivity and equity, advise on DEI strategy, and identify goals to address underperformance and underrepresentation.
- Support initiatives for measurable business outcomes, ensure best practices, stay updated on market DEI activities, and collaborate on educational training in cultural competency and related areas.
- Consultations & Capacity Building
- Provide expert advice and best practices on DEI programs and policies, act as a change agent, and support leaders and teams during cultural challenges or changes. Lead key DEI initiatives, serve as an internal consultant, and leverage data to drive DEI solutions and strengthen the workplace.
- Advise HR on integrating DEI into workforce strategies and partner with various organizational areas to align workplace initiatives with broader system initiatives, promoting a culture of equity and inclusivity.
- Programs Management: Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), Benefits Tutoring & DEI Initiatives
- Administer the ERG program, coach and advise ERG and Benefits Tutors leadership, focus on growth opportunities for new ERGs, and develop the application and onboarding processes.
- Ensure ERG development, assist in goal setting, provide guidance to align with ERG strategy, manage budgets, and measure performance to drive sustainable business results.
- Compliance
- Own and maintain system compliance for EEO and AAP reporting, analyze employee demographics to address underrepresentation, and prepare demographic data as needed.
- Partner with HR Strategy on annual compliance reporting, including EEO and AAP, and manage vendor relationships.
- Communications
- Advise system communications team by reviewing communications to ensure DEI lens is present and communications are inclusive and respectful.
- Review, locate and provide available DEI and Cultural Competency resources for our internal intranet communications.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in behavioral sciences, human resources management, social sciences, education, communication, human relations, or other relevant discipline
- 5 years consulting and influencing DEI results in environments which are cross-cultural, multi-faith, cross-ethnic and cross-linguistic. Developing employee culture related programs, strategies, communication and learning.
- Experience with consulting and project management.
Preferred
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Certified HR/Diversity Professional Certificate
- Certified IDI Administrator
- Demonstrated success in consulting in environments which are cross-cultural, multifaith, cross-ethnic and cross-linguistic and influencing results.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address complex business issues.
- Demonstrated excellence in project management, prioritization and planning; able to drive system-wide projects across multiple divisions and functions.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly gain credibility and show strong partnership with business leaders.
- Establishes and maintains credible advisor relationships with management that influence strategy and challenges or influences thinking and behaviors.
- Must be a creative thinker with the ability to communicate ideas and influence outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
