Job Summary
The ED Technician is the designation to an individual who, through formal education and/or clinical experience under the direct supervision of an RN, functions within the framework and objectives of the Nursing Division at Fairview Hospital.
Experience
- Minimum one year experience in a medical setting in either a CNA or EMS capacity preferred.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a medical assistant training course and/or EMT. Needs phlebotomy and EKG or receive training at FVH.
License & Certifications
- EMT 1 and/or CNA is preferred.
- CPR certification required within three months.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work well with people.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills.
Schedule:
- Hours: 7:00am-7:30pm
- Every other weekend, every other holiday rotation
- Occasional rotation to night shift
- Assists access services with patient registration.
