Looking for a Residential Food Service Director for our women's residential treatment facility in Abingdon VA.
Hours 10am-6pm Monday -Friday; other times as needed for coverage

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inlcude
- Provides oversight and coordination of nutritional food service for Fairview residents, including planning, preparation, serving and clean-up of meals
- Maintains balance of nutritional needs and budgeting, ordering and all health and safety standards
- Ensures the safety and security of program residents, staff, facility, and its physical property
- Employs nonviolent crisis intervention techniques per Therapeutic Options certification in situations requiring intervention and reflecting training and competent assessment of the situation/circumstances
- Knowledgeable about the community's emergency response agencies/services and how to access these agencies/services
- Completes required documentation when either verbal or physical intervention is used
- Reports immediately any concerns about the safety and/or security of residents, staff, and/or facility to the on-site supervisor
- Complies with program, state, and federal regulations governing resident privacy and confidentiality of protected health information
Education/Credentials/Competencies
- Minimum education: High School diploma
- Currently certified or will be trained to obtain food service certification (ServSafe and/or equivalent) to meet Health Department, state, and federal requirements
- All training required by VA Licensing to work in a residential behavioral health setting

- Currently certified, or through training, will obtain certification in CPR and first aid
- Training in behavioral intervention according to State of Virginia standards upon hire and retraining at least on an annual basis
- Successfully complete background checks prior to employment
- Successfully complete drug screening prior to employment and random drug screenings while employed at Fairview
- Knowledgeable about confidentiality {HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2) regulations
- Flexibility with assigned work hours to accommodate program needs and as assigned by supervisor

- Commercial housekeeping equipment, e., buffers, cleaning apparatus, and tools
- Commercial kitchen equipment and equipment related to Food Service preparation and delivery
- Telephone systems - both hardware and software as needed for Fairview operations
- Audio-visual equipment, e., VCR and projector, etc.
- Computer equipment and network software necessary to perform job
