Job Summary And Qualifications
Assists technologists with general patient care, obtains clinical histories from charts, assists patients on and off table, assists with moving and positioning patients, assists with handling of film plates in radiology; uploads images into PACS verifying proper exposure parameters, clears dirty linen and puts clean on beds and stretchers, cleans rooms, makes entries into Meditech & PACS completing exam tracking and entering exam notes, performs clerical tasks as needed, assists with maintaining supplies, transports patients as is necessary.
Support imaging staff in daily workflow.
Manage efficient flow of patients including working up inpatient request, coordinating scheduling and communicating with floor RNs as needed to assist in workflow
Performs numerous support functions including (but not limited to) entering orders for outpatients, preparing patients for imaging exams, transporting patients, accessing Meditech to look up patient labs and complete exams for radiologist to read.
Demonstrates knowledge and respect of patient rights to privacy and protection of patient confidentiality.
Completes, executes, and performs secretarial tasks such as Order Entry, filing, organizing patient’s charts and medication orders, answering phone, greeting customers, and assisting with stock and supplies.
Promotes and displays a positive customer oriented demeanor to patients, visitors, staff, and physicians.
Demonstrates an understanding and is proficient in the use of a computer and office equipment.
Demonstrates knowledge of the occurrence reporting system. Uses system to report potential patient safety issues.
Follows established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care that results in patient harm.
Maintains dignity of the patient.
Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:
- CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Enrolled in an accredited Radiologic, Ultrasound, or Nuclear Med program
