Fairview Health Services is hiring a Cook for our Nutrition Department in Hibbing, MN.
As a Cook you will be responsible for prepping and preparing patient, cafeteria, and special function food using standardized recipes and following production guidelines. Functions as a part of a team that ensures the delivery of food to patients within 45 minutes of being ordered.
Schedule: This position will work 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day/evening shift. Every other weekend.

As a Cook, you will be responsible for:
Food Production
- Preparing food using standardized recipes and production guidelines.
- Organizing daily production activities to meet meal service times.
Food Service
- Responsible for the preparation of food items needed for the service of hot entrees and sides and/or bakery items for the Cafeteria, Special Functions, as well as Patients.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in restaurant or institutional cooking.
- High School Diploma or GED
Special Skills
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
- Ability to figure simple mathematical computations.
- Ability to adapt to changing work routines and production demands.
- Demonstrates familiarity with food service operations and solid understanding of patients dietary needs.
- The employee must maintain a friendly and cheerful demeanor.
