Fairview Range is hiring a Medical Lab Technician (MLT) to join our Mesaba Clinic laboratories in Hibbing, MN
As a Medical Lab Tech, you will perform chemical, bacteriological, serological, and microscopic procedures in one or more functional laboratory sections across the Mesaba Clinics. The MLT also maintains records of performance as defined in the laboratory's general and sectional policy and procedure manual.
Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the Day shift. Weekends: As needed.

The clinic lab in Hibbing is a fast-paced laboratory supporting over 55 providers. As a CLIA waived laboratory, we can provide convenient care for patients with the support of the nearby hospital lab. Some testing is performed on site, with other testing being routed to the hospital lab for processing.

As a Medical Lab Tech, you are responsible for:
- Performing testing and related activities according to established procedures in hematology/coagulation/Serology/UA blood bank transfusion, bacteriology, chemistry, special chemistry, LIS, phlebotomy, and specimen processing.
- Reviewing all test results critically for outstanding results, clerical errors, calls critical values, and documenting action.
- Maintaining documentation of procedure performance, patient results, and quality control.
- Receiving, acquiring, or evaluating specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Equipment checks and routine maintenance of equipment and documents all actions.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from a Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation accredited MLT program required.
- Certification as MLT by ASCP or equivalent or needs to acquire certificate within one (1) year of hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) of more years of experience in a clinical laboratory
