Pathologist

Fairview Range Health Services is seeking a pathology physician to provide clinical care at Fairview Range Mesaba Clinics and Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing, MN. Our Fairview Mesaba Clinic is a growing regional multi-specialty provider group that offers primary and specialty care across Northeastern Minnesota. Fairview Range Laboratory Services includes a CAP accredited, highly complex hospital lab and 3 clinic labs. The clinic labs include a CLIA waived lab in Hibbing, and 2 COLA accredited labs in Mt. Iron and Nashwauk that perform moderately complex testing. We perform some testing on-site at the clinics, with other testing being routed to the hospital lab for processing. The hospital lab has a fully functional microbiology lab including molecular testing. We’re proud to offer a collaboration with M Health Fairview laboratory systems, which allows our patients local access to a more extensive array of lab services.

Fairview Range is hiring a Pathologist for our Laboratory team in Hibbing, MN.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pathologist to oversee the Acute Care Laboratory and Anatomic Pathology and provide clinical consultation for three ambulatory care clinics.

As a Patholgist you will be responsible for:

• Medical Director Oversight:
• Supervise and manage operations of the Acute Care Laboratory and Anatomic Pathology services.
• Clinical Consultation:
• Serve as a Clinical Consultant for three ambulatory care clinics, providing expert advice and support.
• Diagnostic Expertise:
• Conduct sign-outs in Surgical Pathology, Hematopathology, and Cytopathology with comprehensive support from the M Health Fairview system.
• Perform grossing of tissues, read frozen sections, and provide Rapid On-Site Evaluation (ROSE) interpretations.
• Handle diagnostic PAP sign-outs and execute bone marrow collection procedures.
• Collaboration and Participation:
• Engage in M Health Fairview System Pathology activities, including consensus conferences and quality monitoring processes.
• Offer consultative services and collaborate with sub-specialized pathologists within the system.
• Electronic Medical Records:
• Utilize the fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC) system for efficient and accurate record-keeping and patient management.

Required Qualifications

• Board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology by the American Board of Pathology.
• Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
• Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.

$375,000 - $450,000 annually.

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
