Fairview Range is hiring a Volunteer Coordinator for our Home Care and Hospice team in Hibbing, MN.
The Volunteer Coordinator coordinates all aspects of the hospice volunteer program in Hibbing including recruitment, retention, training and orientation, and works under the direction of the Hospice Leadership.
Schedule: This position will work 72 to 80 hours per two weeks. The shift length will be 8-hours on the day shift. Weekends: None

Responsibilities/Job Description
As a Volunteer Coordinator you will be responsible for:
- Recruiting, interviewing, and selecting interested candidates using identified human resources standards consistently in the process.
- Providing constructive feedback to enhance volunteer development and effectiveness.
- Effectively utilizing volunteers according to their talents to enhance their, and the patient's experience.
- Planning and organizing volunteer recognition activities.
- Designing and implementing a training program for volunteers, which incorporates all necessary requirements for such training.
- Providing education to hospice staff and community on role of hospice volunteers.
- Coordinates ongoing educational opportunities for volunteers to meet requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- People-oriented person with a desire to build relationships and community involvement.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 -2 years post-secondary education
- Experience in one area of a health care related field
- Proficient in keyboarding and knowledgeable in Microsoft Windows and Excel
