Job Title : Commercial Account Manager
Reports to : Branch Manager
Salary : 65K-75K Commission
Summary
The Commercial Account Manager is responsible for developing and executing targeted sales plans for plant healthcare, specialty work (aquatic weed and pest control), institutional maintenance, and turf care services within the assigned branch. The role involves leading a team of sales representatives to achieve sales and retention goals, while growing the customer base in key segments such as commercial, residential, and institutional clients. The Sales Manager will drive growth by promoting a range of services, including turf care, athletic turf installation, and spraying and fertilizing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Development and Relationship Building :
Develop and maintain strong relationships with both prospective and active customers, including residential, commercial, and institutional clients.
Focus on building a long-term pipeline for plant healthcare services, turf care (including athletic turf), aquatic weed control, and specialty pest management services.Sales Strategy and Execution :Develop tailored regional sales strategies to promote the company's core offerings : plant healthcare, aquatic weed and pest control, turf maintenance, and athletic turf solutions
Ensure pricing strategies are competitive and service packages reflect industry standards for turf care, aquatic weed control, and fertilization.Team Leadership and Development :Lead and inspire a team of 2-3 sales representatives, setting clear goals and ensuring accountability for meeting targets related to plant healthcare, turf, aquatic weed management, and specialty pest control services.
Provide ongoing support and coaching, emphasizing the importance of specialized knowledge in turf care, plant health, and pest management.Customer Retention and Business Growth :Identify and act on opportunities to expand the company's services across multiple sectors, focusing on institutional maintenance, turf care, plant health, and athletic turf installation.
Develop retention strategies that drive repeat business from key clients, ensuring that services like fertilizing, spraying, and aquatic weed control are effectively promoted.Qualifications :
Proven experience in sales management, preferably in lawn care, plant health, turf care, or pest control services.Strong knowledge of plant healthcare, turf maintenance (including athletic turf), aquatic weed and pest control, and institutional landscape management.Demonstrated experience in selling and managing specialized services such as spraying, fertilizing, and turf-related maintenance.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with institutional, commercial, and residential clients.Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills, with an ability to drive decisions based on metrics and market trends.Experience meeting or exceeding sales goals in a technical or specialized field.Passion for promoting sustainable, high-quality solutions in lawn and plant care.This position requires a highly motivated, sales-driven individual with in-depth knowledge of the turf and plant healthcare industry. The commercial account manager will be a key player in driving the company's growth through both targeted sales and high-level client relationship management.
