What You'll Do

As an Inside Sales Analyst, you will play an important role in driving the growth and success of Fairwinds by supporting the identification, pursuit, and closing of new business opportunities within the US Government for communications, networking, and information technology solutions. You will assist the sales team with tactical sales opportunities, working collaboratively with all company divisions to prepare and deliver qualified proposals and quotes. You will also use your organizational skills to help maintain the sales forecast and help drive the customer contact plans. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully working entry to high-value projects in the government and commercial technologies domain. You should be a highly motivated, result-driven individual with exceptional communication and analytical skills. This position will be remote, with expected 25% travel to Aberdeen Proving Ground and other U.S. locations as applicable.

The day-to-day

  • Support the VP, IDIQ Programs and the Sales team with proposals for various contract vehicles (DLA G2S, OASIS , and others).
  • Provide sales support to the Sales team. Be able to assist with building quotes and other information requests.
  • Observe and analyze the market to identify potential customers, competitors, and industry trends to inform sales strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with US government and Prime Contractor customers to understand their needs and shape solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and Operations divisions to coordinate execution of sales plans and proposals. Develop compelling and competitive solutions.
  • Ensure that all sales content is aligned with customer needs, Request for Proposal requirements, and company capabilities.
  • Assist the proposal team to deliver high-quality, compliant, and timely technical proposal submissions.
  • Lead and participate in sales reviews, providing regular updates to senior management on the status of opportunities and potential risks.
  • Monitor and assess the competitive landscape, tracking competitor activities and adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Work with management to generate and maintain the sales bookings forecast.
  • Assist the sales team with planning customer contacts to optimize information gathering and opportunity influencing.


What You'll Need

  • Bachelors degree in Management or Business Administration
  • Commercial or government experience in sales, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) or acquisition roles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience processing customer orders including preparing company quotes.
  • Ability to not shy away from customer relationship challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.
  • Attitude of how it can be done, not how it cannot be done.
  • US Citizen
  • Active Secret or higher DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • A willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and end users.


What Will Help You On The Job

  • DoD or Commercial experience
  • Understanding of relevant US government agencies and their procurement processes.
  • Existing relationships with US government, Commercial and Prime Contractor customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to travel to Maryland, Washington D.C. area on short notice.

Salary range

$50,000.00 - $75,000.00 / annually


Location-

This position is remote within Maryland, Virginia, Florida or Delaware locations with up to 25% travel.


Compensation- Salary

At Fairwinds, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location and experience. Additional incentives may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full time, exempt position.

Must be eligible to work in the US.
