The Assistant Branch Manager coordinates, trains, and manages branch production and operational functions in conjunction with the Branch Manager. Participates in the creation and implementation of strategic initiatives that lead to the achievement of branch sales objectives. Ensures timely, efficient, and effective service delivery for members by ensuring operational and service standards are met and crew are demonstrating the FAIRWINDS Way. Responsible for the training and development of designated crewmembers as assigned by the Branch Manager. Consistently communicates information about credit union products and services and assists within the branch where needed. Provides members with information concerning credit union policy and procedures.
Base compensation for this position can range from $60,000 - $75,000/year and is based on experience. This role also has a performance-based target incentive of 10% of base up top 20% of base.
What will I be doing in this role?
- Utilizes management skills to foster a coaching environment within the branch to ensure overall service, lending, membership, and services per household expectations are met.
- Serves as a loan officer and/or interviewer to provide loan services to members. Processes loan applications and disburses loan proceeds to members. Opens accounts for new members and offers products and services to both new and existing members.
- Utilizes and trains crew in cross-selling tactics and relationship building strategies to offer credit union products and services to new and existing members.
- Communicates with members to provide account and service information and assists members in resolving account differences.
- Assists in strategic planning for the service center including Business Loan strategies.
- Oversees functional areas of the branch and assists in staffing, hiring, scheduling and performance evaluations.
Education & Experience:
- Associate's degree or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. For this location, bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) are preferred.
