What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Fundraising Team Member position at Fairytales and Tiny Tails Rescue?
We are looking for someone who is creative, research-savvy, outreach-ready, and wants to make a difference. We are a nonprofit organization on a mission to rescue vulnerable kittens and give them love and care they deserve - turning their tiny tails into amazing tales. But to make this happen, we need to raise funds, connect with supporters, and spread the word about our mission. That's where YOU come in!
We're seeking a talented individual to join our close-knit team and assist with fundraising, writing, research, and outreach.
What you will do:
- Fundraising writing: Create compelling appeals for email communications, as well as phone communications with potential donors
- Grant Research and Writing: Find grant opportunities and draft persuasive proposals to secure funding for our rescue efforts.
- Community Outreach: Develop creative ideas to connect with potential supporters and businesses to build relationships and partnerships
- Market Research: Research potential funding sources
- Collaborate: Work closely with our team to ensure all communications reflect our mission, tone, and goals.

- Passion for animals: You care deeply about animals and want to be part of our mission.
- Creativity and initiative: You're full of ideas and love turning them into a reality.
- Professionalism: You're detail-oriented, reliable, and capable.
- Experience: Previous writing or research experience, or currently enrolled in a related college program (i.e., communications, marketing, journalism, nonprofit management, etc.)

Time Commitment:
- We are very flexible! You will be able to do the majority of the work just by computer, but you would have to be in close communication with the founder/CEO.
Note: this position is VOLUNTEER and not paid.

Pay: $1.00 - $5.00 per year
Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
