Volunteer Social Media Team Member

We are looking for someone who is creative, has experience in managing social medias for businesses, has experience in graphic design, and wants to make a difference. We are a nonprofit organization on a mission to rescue vulnerable kittens and give them love and care they deserve - turning their tiny tails into amazing tales. But to make this happen, we need to raise funds, connect with supporters, and spread the word about our mission. That's where YOU come in!

We're seeking a talented individual to join our close-knit team and assist with managing our social media platforms.

What you will do:

Social Media Management

• Plan, create, and schedule engaging content for our social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, etc.).

Graphic Design

• Design eye-catching visuals, including posts, infographics, event flyers, and fundraising campaigns, to captivate our audience.
• Create branded content that aligns with our mission and voice while standing out in the crowded social media space.
• Edit and enhance photos and videos of rescue kittens to tell their stories and boost engagement.

Community Engagement & Fundraising

• Collaborate with the team to develop creative campaigns that drive awareness and encourage donations.
• Highlight inspiring stories of rescue kittens, fosters, and adopters to connect with our audience on an emotional level.
• Assist in promoting volunteer opportunities, adoption events, and other activities through social media channels.

Creative Strategy & Collaboration

• Work closely with the rescue team to brainstorm new ideas and campaigns.
• Maintain a consistent and compassionate tone across all communications, ensuring that our brand reflects the heart of our mission.
• Help us find innovative ways to grow our online presence and connect with the community.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing social media platforms for businesses or organizations.
• Graphic design skills and familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• Excellent written communication skills with a creative flair.
• A genuine passion for animal welfare and a desire to make a positive impact.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and compassionate manner.
• Analyze engagement metrics to determine what resonates with our audience and adjust strategies as needed.
• Stay updated on social media trends and identify opportunities to keep our content fresh and impactful.

Time Commitment:

• We are very flexible! You will be able to do the majority of the work just by computer, but you would have to be in close communication with the founder/CEO.

Note: this position is VOLUNTEER and not paid.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $1.00 - $5.00 per year

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
