Driver Helper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Drivers Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the driver in delivering goods, ensuring timely and safe transportation while providing excellent customer service. This role is all about teamwork, requiring physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining safety standards throughout delivery.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and unloading cargo from the vehicle.
• Ensure that all items are appropriately secured for transport.
• Help navigate routes and provide support during deliveries.
• Maintain communication with the driver to ensure efficient operations.
• Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Assist in moving items as needed at delivery sites.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on duty.
• Assist with paperwork and documentation related to deliveries.

Qualifications

• Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial driving practices is a plus.
• Familiarity with paratransit services or van driving is advantageous.
• Ability to load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
• Mechanical knowledge to assist with essential vehicle maintenance is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items as required.

Pay: Up to $800.00 per week

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
