ACCOUNTING MANAGER
We are seeking a full-time experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our small but busy property management corporate office and monitor the accounting team to ensure the financial health of our managed sites.
Locations: East Hartford, CT
- In office (some remote hybrid considered for the right candidate)
Salary & Benefits:

Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or greater (Finance/Management) or equivalent experience in property management 5 years of solid accounting experience
- QuickBooks (QBO preferred)
- 3 years managerial experience
Accounting Knowledge Needed:
- AP & AR Reconciliation
- G/L and Trial Balance
- Cash vs Accrual
- Prepaids
Preferred:
- Property management experience
- Google Suite experience
- RealPage/Onsite experience
Overall Duties/Responsibilities include:
- Assist and monitor progress of our remote Accounting Team
- Liaison to Auditors, Agencies, Owners, Property Staff, Accounting Team
- Key Contact, Responding to emails, researching requests, creating reports as needed
- Vendor Relations
Redirect Vendor Invoices, Ensure proper vendor credentials, Negotiate pricing/discounts/collections Project Management
- Misc. Reconciliations
- Perform Billbacks/Payroll Reimbursements
- Perform Journal entries & G/L Maintenance
- Liaison between property managers and Bookkeepers
- Manage corporate office
- Supervise p/t Admin
- Ensure office is equipped and running smoothly
- Lease review, monitoring and negotiations
- Develop draft budgets and present to clients
Ensure accurate, timely preparation and distribution of financial of statements by the Accounting Team. Approve Payables - Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the entities meet its financial obligations and capital requirements.
- Monitor and report on financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
- Streamline financial processes and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Ability to communicate complex financial concepts in simple terms to non-financial stakeholders. Strong presentation skills for delivering financial reports and strategic insights to the executive team and board of directors.
- Effective delegation and empowerment of team members to foster collaboration and achieve departmental goals.
- Internal staff training on fiscal and operational processes. (Client training as required).
