Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Science Teacher to join the Faith Christian Academy family in Hurt, Virginia. Our PreK-12 school is located on a beautiful campus in a country setting. We offer a quality Christian education with a focus on raising the next generation of spiritual champions. We are a growing school celebrating our 35th anniversary. Our average class size is 14 students, allowing for individualized attention and opportunities for building relationships. Our science classes are held in a well equipped science lab.
Job Requirements
- Born again believer actively involved in their local church
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field
- Competency in both life and earth sciences
- Dedicated to teaching science from a Biblical worldview with a Creationist foundation
- A state teaching license is not required, we will assist with obtaining ACSI certification
- Provide tutoring and additional support for students who require extra assistance.
- Conduct laboratory sessions to reinforce theoretical concepts through practical application.
- Assess student performance through regular testing, assignments, and proofreading of their work.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and administration regarding student progress and needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31,000.00 - $37,000.00 per year
