- Part-time
- 20-24 hours a week between Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm
- Our territory covers the following counties: Worcester, Middlesex, Norfolk, & Bristol
- The home office is in Marlborough, MA
- The Chaplain reports to the Clinical Manager
The Hospice Chaplain is responsible for the provision of spiritual care services to patients and families and caregivers of Faith & Family Hospice, either directly or through coordination of care with other spiritual counselors.
Responsibilities:
- Assures spiritual assessment of patients and families and caregivers in the hospice program and appropriate services are rendered in a timely
- Provides direct spiritual care to patients and families and caregivers
- Attends patient care conference and interdisciplinary group meetings as a member of the interdisciplinary team
- Plans periodic memorial services to meet the needs of personnel, volunteers, and community clergy and spiritual counselors working with the hospice
- Assists in supervision of spiritual care volunteers when assigned to patients and families and caregivers
- Additional duties include assist in maintaining a bereavement program for families.
Qualifications: Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree). Experience working with death and dying, individuals, family, and caregiver. Ability to work and comfort in an interfaith setting. Ability to accept different lifestyles, cultures, beliefs, and values.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
