Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse at Faith Home Care, you will be responsible for delivering skilled nursing care to medically fragile and/or disabled children in their home settings. You will work closely with the child's family, physicians, and care team to ensure comprehensive care plans are implemented and adjusted as needed. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in clinical nursing but also empathetic, patient, and able to provide a high level of comfort to families in a sensitive and supportive environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide nursing care to medically fragile and disabled children in their home setting.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by physicians.
- Monitor the patient’s condition, documenting and reporting any changes to the care team.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans for each child.
- Educate and support family members in managing their child’s medical needs.
- Perform wound care, injections, and other clinical procedures as required.
- Ensure that all documentation and patient records are accurate and up-to-date in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and other health care professionals to ensure the highest level of care.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations as they arise.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic support to both the patient and family.
**Qualifications:**
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in home health care
- Experience providing care to medically fragile and/or disabled children is highly preferred.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
