Instructional Aid
Our mission at Faith in Action Community Education Services is to rebuild our community’s faith in the education system. Provide our families, and students with resources that will enable them to reach the very goals and dreams they have set out to achieve. We’re currently seeking a motivated Instructional aid that will be responsible for providing general, and special education services for our community and school students.
Instructional Aid Responsibilities
· Providing direct care to clients in a one-on-one or group therapy setting
· Collecting and recording data on patient behavior
· Provide crisis intervention as needed.
· Provide a safe and supportive environment for patients and their families,
· Supervising classroom, maintaining order with at-risk students prone to unacceptable behaviors
· Maintaining effective relationships with staff at school site or in home clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/ university required.
· Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
· 2 years’ experience working with youth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· Master’s Degree
· RBT Certification
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITY: Proven work experience as a Behavioral Technician or similar role Additional certification may be required based on facility needs. Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry patients when needed. Good written and verbal communication skills, Strong interpersonal skills to connect with patients. Certificate, bachelor’s, or associate degree in behavioral health or related field
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to Relocate:
- San Jose, CA 95133: Relocate before starting work (Required)
