The Role and Function of Marketing & Communications Manager
The Marketing & Communications Manager is accountable to the Director of Admissions & Marketing and will serve as Faith Lutheran’s central voice and brand champion, planning all communication strategies and promoting the school through various existing and new communication channels with the goal of raising awareness of all things Faith Lutheran.
The Positional Responsibilities
1. Execute the marketing and communications plan which allows the school to achieve its strategic plan while conveying a deep understanding of and passion for Faith Lutheran and its mission.
2. Coordinate school wide communication efforts, focusing on upcoming events and stories from within our own community with particular emphasis on harnessing the energy and excitement surrounding Faith Lutheran in order to maintain an urgency in association and engagement with the school.
3. Proactively manage the creation and design of promotional materials for use and distribution through digital and traditional channels.
4. Moderate the growth of all social media channels while providing a singular, unifying voice for Faith Lutheran to the world.
5. Oversee administration of school website and blog, including content curation and moderation and improve organizational search engine optimization.
6. Aid in the planning, promotion and execution of campus centric events, with particular focus on Admissions, Development and community related activities designed to increase the visibility and interest in Faith Lutheran.
7. Facilitate a marketing plan for Faith Lutheran Online in coordination with the Director of FLO that specifically target’s students and parents wanting an online experience.
8. Serve as Project Manager and oversee the production and distribution of printed and digital publications including the Top 25 and Living Faith Magazines.
9. Serve as the primary point of contact for all PR, Media and Community related inquiries and opportunities.
Required Skills and Abilities
1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include copywriting, public speaking and presentations.
2. Proficient photography and photo editing skills.
3. Proficient use of social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTok.
4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite and Adobe Suite- with particular emphasis on Google Drive, InDesign, Canva and Photoshop- and the ability to effectively learn school management software and the school website.
5. Exceptional organizational skills and precise attention to detail.
6. Meticulous time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately.
8. Exceptionally motivated to produce high quality work and take initiative on projects and tasks.
9. Highly enthusiastic, showing excitement, passions and energy towards tasks and goals.
10. Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop and maintain positive relationships, willing to work collaboratively and accept constructive feedback.
Education and Experience
The preferred candidate has a combination of these skills and educational experiences:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Journalism Advertising, Communications or related field.
2. Three to five years of related work experience implementing and executing organizational marketing & communication plans.
3. Experience managing social media accounts such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X.
The Mega-limitation
When representing Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School, the Marketing & Communications Manager shall not act in a manner that is unethical, imprudent, illegal or inconsistent with the Christian faith, the articles of incorporation, By-laws, policies or mission of Faith Lutheran Middle School & High School.
1. The Marketing & Communications Manager shall not allow the CEO to be uninformed or unsupported in this work.
2. The Marketing & Communications Manager shall not fail to cooperate with and support all areas of the school.
Salary and Benefits
The Marketing & Communications Manager is a full-time, 12-month, exempt position with competitive pay. Benefits include: medical, dental and vision insurance, pension, 403 (b) retirement savings, vacation/personal/sick leave, paid holidays and student tuition discount (if applicable).

Terms of Service
The Marketing & Communications Manager’s contract shall be on an annual basis. It is assumed that given a positive performance review, employment will be ongoing.
