Job Description: Personal Care Assistant
Job Summary: The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) plays a vital role in providing support and assistance to individuals with disabilities, elderly clients, or those in need of assistance with daily living activities. This position requires a compassionate, dedicated individual committed to enhancing the quality of life for their clients. The PCA will assist clients in their homes or in care facilities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
- Help clients with mobility issues, including transferring, walking, and navigating stairs.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe and hygienic living environment.
- Facilitate engagement in prescribed exercises and rehabilitation activities.
- Provide companionship, including social interactions, conversations, and participation in recreational activities.
- Accompany clients to appointments, shopping, and errands.
- Administer medications as prescribed and oversee the client’s health-related tasks.
- Maintain client confidentiality and respect privacy at all times.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in personal care, nursing assistant, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a caregiving role or similar position is advantageous.
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR certification is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as lifting and assistance with mobility.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
- Must pass a background check and have a clean criminal record.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
