We are currently seeking an experienced Crew Leader who will grow into the role of General Manager for our new Apopka location. This role is perfect for a driven landscaping professional knowledgeable in all landscape design, installation, and maintenance aspects.
Job Overview: As the Crew Leader at our Apopka shop, you will initially lead projects hands-on, demonstrating your landscaping skills while building and managing your team. Your responsibilities will evolve from direct landscape work to complete managerial duties as you develop the area's clientele and operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in landscaping who is ready to step into a leadership role and drive business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute a range of landscaping projects, including sod installation, plant installation, and general landscape maintenance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and landscape designs accurately.
- Manage daily operations, including scheduling, dispatching work orders, and overseeing project completion.
- Use our CRM system to manage client interactions, work orders, and team schedules.
- Hire and train additional staff as the business in the Apopka area expands.
- Ensure quality control and efficiency in all landscaping tasks.
- Bid on new landscaping installation projects, requiring detailed knowledge of industry standards and client expectations.
- Represent the company in the Apopka area, building strong client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in landscaping with a deep understanding of different sod types, plants, and hardscaping elements.
- Ability to read and follow blueprints and design schematics.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team.
- Proficiency in using CRM software to dispatch work orders and manage client relationships.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Driven to grow business operations in a new geographic area.
- Ability to handle physical workloads and outdoor work conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
