Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the ePCR Manager, in concert with the local business, the ePCR Specialist is responsible for ensuring that all ePCR’s have been submitted in a timely manner to the billing department and Local EMS Agencies. They will also ensure that data is continuously being submitted to the Local EMS Agencies in accordance with County and contract compliance requirements. They will also perform continuous quality improvement as it relates to ePCR’s.

Responsibilities:
- Perform ePCR reconciliation activities in relation to County protocol and contract compliance requirements.
- Provides training on ePCR hardware and software to EMTs, Paramedics, Managers, and other key staff members as part of orientation and on an ongoing basis.
- Prepares and cleans XML data in preparation for submittal to County EMS agencies as required.
- Receives feedback from managers, users, and affiliated personnel for improvement of existing or proposed designs and forwards those issues to the ePCR Application Manager.
- Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves basic problems for users of ePCR toughbooks and scanners, iPads, the Internet and new computer technology in a customer support environment; communicates solutions to field end-users.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

- Knowledge of ambulance, dispatch, and billing operations.
- EMT certification desired, to understand field perspective of ePCR product.
- Ability to deliver training programs to assist with implementation and ongoing training on ePCR and other technology, preferred.
- Ability to self-start without specific direction and work with little immediate supervision.
- Basic understanding of electronic medical record systems
- Proficiency in use of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Knowledge of desktop operating systems, various software applications and basic hardware for the PC; principles and theories of network systems and management; Internet technologies and products; basic understanding of electrical safety procedure, preferred.
Education Requirements:
The individual in this position must possess the following education requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional healthcare education desired
- EMT Certification desired
Travel approximately 5-10% of time.
