Position Summary :
The Critical Care Transport Nurse Manager at Falcon holds a vital leadership role, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care in high-acuity transport settings. Their expertise and guidance are essential in leading a team of dedicated nurses, upholding the highest clinical standards. In this position, they will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, implement evidence-based practices, and drive continuous improvements in patient outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Falcon’s Critical Care Transport (CCT) program, ensuring the standardization of multi-station CCT practices and systems.
Partner with Talent Acquisition in RN recruitment efforts, including participating in events, speaking at meetings, interviewing candidates, and making hiring decisions.
Mentor, train, and provide ongoing performance feedback, counseling, and annual reviews for all CCT RNs.
Develop and maintain comprehensive RN orientation (Academy), education, and training programs.
Serve as RN FTO to train new RNs during FTO shifts.
Oversee RN annual skills and competency assessments to ensure compliance with the Board of Registered Nursing and other regulatory agencies.
Work closely with CCT RNs and the Scheduling Coordinator to maintain optimal staffing levels aligned with company strategic metrics.
Serve as the subject matter expert for all RN clinical inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Collaborate with the Clinical Services Manager and Medical Director to maintain up-to-date medical protocols, best practices, and guidelines.
Support the Clinical Services Manager in managing Falcon’s narcotics program.
Oversee the RN QA / QI program, providing necessary feedback and coaching in partnership with the Clinical Services Manager.
Collaborate with Falcon leadership team to address and resolve clinical quality referrals efficiently.
Partner with the VP of Operations to develop and implement new service offerings.
Provide feedback and recommend changes to processes, policies, and procedures.
Perform all duties of the CCT RN position including a minimum of two regularly scheduled ambulance shifts per pay period, to maintain firsthand insight into the CCT operational environment and support RN training as needed. This requirement may be increased as needed to support CCT staffing and training of new hires.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Maintain certification(s) and licensures consistent with performing job duties and qualification to work in county(s).
Demonstrated experience and proficiency in CCT RN skills and equipment.
Working knowledge of hospitals, healthcare systems, and post-acute facilities.
Thorough knowledge of EMSA policies, HIPAA Privacy Rules, and all company policies and regulation requirements.
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Proficient with operational software TraumaSoft.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Active State of California RN License with minimum five years experience.
Training / education experience within Ground Critical Care or Flight Critical Care Transport including current credentials and certifications.
Current AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS.
Additional Santa Clara Badge Requirements for working in Santa Clara County.
Ability to visit Falcon’s (local) regional stations & customers.
Ability to work non-traditional hours as needed to support a 24 / 7 operation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Able to lift, drag, hoist, and carry different types of equipment and other objects.
Perform the physical requirements of the position including : good physical stamina, endurance, and body condition that would not be adversely affected by frequently having to walk, stand, lift, carry, and balance at times.
