As Head Chef at Falcon Lakes Golf Club, you will take charge of the kitchen's daily operations, overseeing menu planning, food preparation, and staff supervision and banquet operations. Your responsibilities will include managing inventory, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining high culinary quality. You will train and inspire kitchen staff, foster teamwork, and ensure smooth service during busy shifts. Your focus will be on preparing and serving fresh, perfectly cooked, beautifully presented dishes that provide our customers with a delightful dining experience every time they visit.
Responsibilities:
- Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders
- Supervise food prep and cooking
- Check food plating and temperature
- Maintain order guides and pars
- Schedule kitchen staff shifts
- Price menu items in collaboration with the Food & Beverage Director
- Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed
- Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques
- Store food products in compliance with safety practices
- Keep weekly and monthly cost reports
- Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area
- Maintain core recipe book and station manual
Requirements and skills:
- Proven work experience as a Head Chef
- Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
- Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
- High volume line cooking experience is a must
- Ability to create / present food for large banquets
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
- Excellent organizational skills
- Conflict management abilities
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
- Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience
Benefits:
Health Insurance Reimbursement
$250 per month, paid bi-weekly. This amount may be impacted by the Company’s health care plan when it is in place.
Mobile Phone Reimbursement
$25 per month, paid bi-weekly
401(k) Plan
You can participate in the Company’s 401K plan upon meeting the eligibility requirements. Once eligible you will be able to contribute pre-tax or post-tax dollars from your paycheck. The Company is not currently providing a matching contribution.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
You will be provided 10 days of PTO per year, which you may use for any purpose (i.e., vacation, sick leave, bereavement, etc.) All PTO requests, when feasible, requires approval except for sick time. You may carry over up to 40 hours of unused PTO into the next calendar year. If you leave Falcon Lakes Golf Club for any reason and have a negative PTO balance, that negative balance will be deducted from your last paycheck. PTO accrues but it is not earned until an employee has been employed for three months.
Food and Beverage
When working at the course, you will be provided one meal and unlimited beverages (excluding alcohol and bottled beverages) at no cost. Off work time, you and your immediate family will get 25% off the retail cost.
Compensation:
Starting pay range between $75,000 - $85,000 dependent on experience.
Profit Sharing Bonus
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
