Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented / experienced boat Assembly person to join our boat manufacturing team. 90-day probationary period and hourly rates can be higher than advertised based on your experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and practical fiberglass manufacturing background. As an Assembler, you will play a crucial role in the production process by assembling boats to create a high-quality product.
Duties
- Assemble and install electronics, motors, pumps, and hardware according to specifications in a timely manner. Accuracy and efficiency are required for this position.
- Utilize hand tools, measuring tape and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Operate machinery as needed, including forklifts, to transport materials within the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot any assembly issues that arise during the production process.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and motors.
- Previous experience in fiberglass marine manufacturing and assembly of small boats is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required for assembly tasks.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided.
