Job Title : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Type : Contract 02 / 16 / 2025 - 03 / 30 / 2025)
Location : Monroe Township, NJ
Rate : $23 / hr and Per Diem $100 per pay check
Note : Shift Start Time 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM, 30 Mints Meal, Contract for 7 Weeks, Approved 40 Hours and this requires every other weekend)
Position Summary
Provides nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
Performs basic care tasks, assists with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, specimen collection, and contributes to care planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care
- Assist with ADLs (bathing, feeding, ambulation, etc.).
- Record vital signs and intake / output.
- Help with transfers, positioning, and use of adaptive equipment.
- Transport patients and ensure readiness for rehab or appointments.
- Specimen Collection (where state regulations permit).
- Collect nasal specimens for point-of-care (POC) testing.
- Ensure specimen integrity and proper labeling.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Complete training and competency assessments for specimen collection.
- Other Duties
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe environment.
- Provide postmortem care, assist with discharges, and orient new CNAs.
- Document care and report changes in patient conditions.
Job Skills
Knowledge of bedside care procedures, basic medical asepsis, and safety precautions.
Willing to work in various shifts / units and perform under stress.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
Requires frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and other physical activities.
Mostly indoors (90%) with some exposure to noise, odors, and chemicals.
Use of PPE (e.g., masks, gloves, gowns, eye protection) is mandatory.
Qualifications
Completion of a state-approved CNA program.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
