Job Summary:
The Creative Producer/Editor is an important, multi-faceted role at Falcon’s. Among the main responsibilities are editing CG and live-action footage, creating animatics, and editing other forms of traditional and non-traditional content; working closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure they receive the best service possible; acting as one of the main points of contact for vendors and subcontractors; working onsite to ensure media is properly integrated into a wide variety of attractions and installations.
Essential Functions:
- Leading projects through all stages of development, including pre-production, production, post-production, and onsite implementation.
- Serving as the main POC for clients and vendors for projects that fall under your purview.
- Maintaining project-based production schedules and vendor punch lists.
- Developing motion graphics elements for titles, logos, infographics, 2.5d effects, lower thirds, subtitles, etc.
- Navigating ShotGrid/FlowPro to pull the latest CG shots and place into edits.
- Producing rip-o-matics and animatics for conceptual iteration.
- Building organized and iterative editorial project files.
- Ingesting and publishing footage into VFX pipeline.
- Organizing and managing VFX shot lists, versions, and shot turnovers between the editorial and VFX departments.
- Maintaining technical standards for iterations and deliverables, such as file formats, frame rates, resolutions, and color grading specifications.
- Applying editorial effects such as color correction, logos, titles, digital zooms, etc.
- Work with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to help facilitate communication.
- Assist with onsite integration of media content for installations and attractions as needed.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in a producer role.
- At least 5 years of experience working as an editor and using non-linear editing tools. (Adobe Premiere, Hiero experience preferred)
- Experience within the themed entertainment industry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of VFX pipelines, color spaces, codecs, frame rates, and editing formats.
- Ability to create motion graphics from scratch.
- Proficient with Adobe Photoshop and After Effects.
- Ability to craft a story through the editing process.
- Proficient understanding of audio integration.
- Must be familiar with shot tracking databases. ShotGrid/FlowPro knowledge is preferred.
- Experience working with vendors and clients is a must.
- Experience integrating media onsite is preferred.
- Experience managing creative personnel is preferred.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Solid organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- Must be a self-motivated team player with a strong sense of ownership.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Firm understanding of digital media files, formats, and codecs.
- Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.
