Responsibilities:
We are looking for a candidate with a strong GIS domain and technical knowledge. Candidates should be playing a technology lead role for implementing GIS solutions for Electric/Gas Utilities specific to ESRI platforms. The Candidate needs to have experience in implementing GIS solutions preferably in Utilities markets. S/he should have experience in implementing GIS solutions for at least 8 years. Candidates with a strong development background in the ESRI suite of applications will be preferred in this role.
The typical responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Should be able to perform the design, build, test and deploy solution on ESRI ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server (JavaScript API, HTML5, REST API, custom Widgets), ArcGIS Online, FME, Desktop FME Server
- Should be familiar with the latest technology trends in the GIS Industry.
- Should participate in requirement discussions with the client for the GIS program.
- Should be able to do the demos during the sprint meetings for the completed development
- work.
- Should be able to resolve issues related to the development.
- Should be able to design the forms, workflows and portlets, integration with the required
- systems. Mobile platform development is an added advantage.
- Should be able to perform issue resolutions during the support /Post-Go Live phase.
- Should be able to assist the Testing team with the functional areas to be tested.
- The candidate must be a team player and is also expected to help the project team with any
- functional issues that may arise during the course of the project.
- Participate in daily scrum meetings with the client and provide daily updates. Should work
- with onsite/offshore leads to provide the deliverables on time.
- Agile-Scrum experience is mandatory
- JIRA experience is mandatory
Skills Required:
- At least 8 years of total GIS industry experience, with at least 3 years in implementing GIS
- Solutions for Utilities.
- Experience of at least 1 or 2 full-cycle implementations for a utility (Electric/Gas) with
- hands on design, development and deployment experience in GIS.
- Familiarity with process integration of GIS with other utility enterprise and operational systems.
- Familiarity with GIS Product Architecture, ArcGIS server, Utility Data Model, web services,
- python scripting, geo-processing services.
- Programming experience in Java Script, REST API and ArcGIS Mobile platform is required.
- Experience of working in Agile development team, working with client teams/SMEs and
- through the project life cycle.
- Good interpersonal communications and analytical ability
- Strong soft skills required
Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider
- three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
